Photo and Image Gallery

Welcome to the pages of my virtual photo album! I am rather proud of this new area of my site, because you get to actually see me and my friends and family and whatnot. Some of these photos were taken by me, some were taken by my parents, and some were taken by my friends. All were scanned by yours truly, and they were then "Photoshop-ed" to near perfection. Enjoy, and if you want to place any images here, please email them to me! Not all images are suitable for kids, so please be smart. Also, if you do not wish to be on this page, please email me and tell me what to remove or block out. Thanks!

Me and Mine

My favorite senior picture...August 97?

My senior picture that appeared in the yearbook...also August 97?

Me...at home...in my most comfortable position. Summer 98.

My spiffy-looking self at the John I. Leonard Band Banquet...June 98.

Playing mellophone at the 1998 BOA Regional Championships in Orlando...the Marching Knights played in exhibition, and we had a ball. We also played at the same event in 1999. Picture taken October 98.

Warming up before a UCF home game. Underneath the Citrus Bowl near Gate D. About to RUN onto the field in typical Marching Knights fashion to perform Pregame. Picture taken October 98?

The Broadway clan at SunFest. Right here, we are backstage for one of the evening concerts. Taken May 96.

My parents...the best parents I can possibly imagine. This was taken on our trip to Ontario and Niagara Falls in June of 1998. I think this was on the American side in a state park that borders the river. Kind of near the whirlpool.
A photo taken near Thanksgiving 99 on Palm Beach near Worth Avenue. I really like this photo.

My mom, her brother, Rick, and her sister, Eva. Taken sometime in 1997...that's the last time I can remember the whole Fridy/Ackley/Broadway clan all together.

Dad and I with goatees (yes, we have pants on! Sicko!). This was kind of a gag shot, because he was shaving off his beard at the time, and paused to take a picture halfway through. Spring 99.

My first photo taken with a digital camera...Kady sitting on the family room couch. Fall 96.

One of Kady's synchronized swimming portraits...she's so awesome! Photograph taken Spring 98?

Kady and Dad last summer in Wakefield, Massachusets. This was at the Fourth of July parade (actually on July 3, 1999) in which I was performing with Spirit of Atlanta. Mom is behind the camera.

Kady with my cousin Richard...Christmas tree in the background...taken around Christmastime 1998?

One of the most beautiful "human" pictures I have ever seen...my Grandma Cathy holding my twin cousins Richard and Alexandra...taken in my Aunt Eva's dining room. Late in 1998.

My twin cousins when they were still babies! Aren't they too cute?!

Patience -- my second mother! Here she is in the Salt Lake City airport in a wheelchair. The details are still a little sketchy, but some folks say that it involved a skiing accident, torn s**t in her knee, and Robert Redford

Friends

A pic of Jeannie and I at our senior prom. Jeannie was a great friend of mine since seventh grade. She is currently studying at the University of Florida.

Another pic of Jeannie and I, this time after graduation. We were so happy...can't you just smell it?

A photo of the top members of the John I. Leonard High School graduating class of 1998. Top row: Amy C., Nora Rosensweig (Principal), Larry Clawson (Assistant Principal) and Jennifer F. Seated: Vivian L., yours truly, and Marcella L. Photo taken at a banquet for the top academic graduates in the school district held at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, FL.

A picture taken before prom my junior year. Left to Right: Jason, Oscar, Cassidy, John IV, Ethan, myself, and a guy whose name I cannot remember. That was such a fun night. Oh, and there were also girls that came with us. This was just a pic of all of us in our spiff attire.

Uncle Dave! Okay, so he's not really our uncle, but when we were all in band at Leonard, he was always "UNCLE DAVE!"

A personality pic during high school. Clockwise from top left: Billy, Jeannie, myself, Mistie, and Vivian.

Allison and her [younger] sister Jaimee wearing Spirit of Atlanta T-shirts! They came to our show in Columbia, South Carolina in July of 1999.

A recent pic of me and my new girlfriend, Jamie. This photo was taken outside of a country club in Ft. Meyers, Florida. It was actually during our first formal date...it's a long story, but she is such a great girl.
Drum Corps

Lindsey and I at the very beginning of the summer! It was after our very first show in Jacksonville -- June 24, 1999? Such a bad show, but we were just happy to be finally performing! Lindsey and I are in Marching Knights together as well...we're just like brother and sister, almost.

We left for tour on Bus # 3, shortly renamed Bus 69 for obvious reasons. These two photos should make it quite evident. I think these pictures were taken somewhere on the Jersey Turnpike... The topless individual is Pinky, a member of the contra line. There are also a few color guard sweethearts, including Drizzle and Natalie. :-)

These three pics are of me, Lindsey and Melinda. Melinda, one of my very favorite members of the alto line, is a real sweetheart too, although she will probably hate me for putting up such a bad picture of her. These were our section T-shirts, with logo designed by yours truly. Not the first T-shirt logo I have designed either...I designed the one for my senior class, but that is another story entirely.

Here we are in an Ohio laundromat...I thought this was one of the best pictures of the entire summer. We were showered and clean and we had a full off-day!

Here is the full corps practicing at our Bristol, Rhode Island housing site. Just beyond those trees, there was an incredible view of the bay and the Newport bridge. Photo taken somewhere around July 2, 1999.

Performance at Bristol, Rhode Island. One of the neatest pictures of us performing. July 2, 1999?

A pic of me in the opening set. Beanpot Invitational (who would name a competition that??? just wondering...) in Wakefield, Massachusets. July 3. The competition was right after a 3 mile parade through downtown Wakefield. Fun, huh?

During the beginning of the season, a lot of the members of our section got injured. At points we had less than half of the 12 members marching, and we even had 2 holes! I was among that list at times, complaining of a bum Achilles heel that would act up while jogging.

During dinner one night, I arranged our horns in this formation. Everyone was pissed at me, but tough s**t -- it made a great photo. Photo taken in Marion, Ohio.

Keeping with the Ohio theme...I snapped this picture of our main cook, Dave Joller, while he was in a strip mall parking lot. Dave is a Spirit Alum from several years, and he travelled with us all summer and fed the entire corps every day! Let's here it for Dave!

A pic of my cheering section! Taken after the show in Troy, Alabama. Left to right: Grandma Betty, Dad, Me, and my sister, Kady.

A few members of Bus 69 were involved in these two pictures. I am sworn to secrecy on who, what, and how, but I assure you that there is a correlation between the contents of the ice chests and the building in the following picture. You see, we were doing our laundry at a hole-in-the-wall laundromat in Lakewood, New Jersey on damn near the hottest day of the year. It was 104 degrees F that day, and the heat index was 114!! The liquor store just happened to be right next to the laundromat, and the name of the establishment just happened to be "Spirit's" -- get it?

This is a picture (taken by LINDSEY of all people) of our illustrious bottom-bass drummer, Andrew. An alum of Lassiter HS from Marrietta, Georgia (or MAY-RETTA as Jodi assures me). I am not entirely sure what Andrew was doing to the school mascot of Samuel Clemens High School in San Antonio, Texas. You can probably use your imagination.

Here is a pic of most of the hornline girls on BOURBON STREET!!! Yes, the staff surprised us, cancelling an all-day rehearsal in Baton Rouge and taking us to the French Quarter for the night! And no, these girls were not in the red light district...

Poot, a member of our contra line. This pic was taken shortly before we left for New Orleans. I guess he was just getting dressed for the evening. Or he was a little excited. Either one.

This is perhaps the saddest picture in my memory. It was taken on the day of semifinals in Madison, Wisconsin. What you see is the end of the final hornline warmup of the summer of 1999. It was quite a somber occasion, and I will forever treasure everyone in the picture.

This was taken at semifinals in Madison. Perhaps one of the best performance photos of myself.

A picture of the intro to "Since I Don't Have You" -- our closer. The cluster of horns you see is the alto line, playing our countermelody of "Georgia On My Mind." Wonderful memories of that soli...

Here's a pic of me and Allison, another member of the alto line. She was a real sweetheart too...gosh I miss some of those people. Photo taken after our last performance in Madison. Just before we got out of uniform for the very last time.

Lindsey and Carter, the alto section leaders. Photo also taken after the last performance in Madison.

Left to Right: Melinda, me, and Lindey. Photo also taken after the last performance in Madison. One of the last photos I took before the corps parted ways.

A picture of my dad and I in front of the capitol building in Madison. This was the day after semifinals, and I was out on the town with my parents. That was such a beautiful day...

My mom and I on the shore of Lake Mendota in Madison. She also has an old picture of my father and her taken in the same spot, only that it was 25 years ago, it was December, and the entire lake was frozen over. Really cool.

A pic of yours truly on the shore of Lake Mendota. This pic is special because it marks Me-After-Drum-Corps. It's like the Marines..."the change is forever."
Desktops & Landscape Photos

A photo of a church on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin. Taken August 15, 1999 by yours truly.

Photo of a sunset taken from the stern of a cruise ship somewhere in the Caribbean. Taken by my mom several years ago.

A picture of a lagoon somewhere in the US Virgin Islands (Or St. Maarten...I am not sure). Take out the right side of a rental jeep a lot of years ago.

Palm trees on a Caribbean beach. Also taken by my mom an indeterminate number of years ago.

A photo of a mountain stream in a rainforest in the Caribbean. Again, taken by my mom a lot of years ago. This photo also makes a great desktop background.

A photo of Nubble Light on the coast of Maine. Taken by my mom in the summer of 1997.

Another sunset photo off the back of a cruise ship. Taken by my mom a number of years ago.

A sunrise on a cold morning in Bar Harbor, Maine. Taken by my dad sometime in 1997 or 1998.
